FAQ

PowerReuse

What is PowerReuse?
PowerReuse is a document assembly application designed for boosting productivity for professionals. PowerReuse builds on top of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). It not only let users access all the Office features through one integrated user interface but also provides much needed document automation features, e.g., easily reuse existing content and accurately update multiple Office documents in one go.

What problems do PowerReuse solve?
File Management: Related files are grouped into projects for easy document management.
Content Reuse: Reusable contents are organized in a library and can easily be inserted into documents by drag & drop. This improves documemt creation efficency.
Global Update: Changes are not only propagated within the document but also the entire project. This ensures consistency.

Why PowerReuse and not others?
User-friendliness has been an issue in the area of document assembly software. PowerReuse addresses this problem and becomes the easiest to learn and use. Function-wise, PowerReuse is able to update multiple documents (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) in one go. No one else in the industry can do this.

Who needs PowerReuse?
It is designed for heavy Microsoft Office users, i.e., sales, project manager, lawyer, government official, accountant, business executive, IT professional, consultant and customer support executive.

When is PowerReuse going to support Windows 2000, Office 2000 and XP?
PowerReuse version 1.1 will support these platforms and it will be releasing soon. Version 1.1 will be a free upgrade for Version 1.0 users.

Why I am prompted to save Normal.DOT?
In some rare occasions, Microsoft Office misinterprets the change of its default template (Normal.dot) and you will prompted to save the changed template. Please click the cancel and no buttons. If you accidentially click the save or yes button, you can simply delete the following file in Windows Explorer to restore to the default setting:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user login>\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dot
